Overview

We’re hiring two people to join Ellie Hale as the core team facilitating the development and growth of Catalyst, a collaborative network of people and organisations working to transform civil society via the power of digital, data and design.

In its first two years since launch, Catalyst has mobilised a collective effort of thousands of collaborators (nonprofits, digital partners, intermediaries and grantmakers) and created an ecology of interconnected support initiatives (skills and training offers, grantmaking programmes, resources and services run by a multitude of partners), networks, community spaces, learning infrastructures and digital commons.

Catalyst is described in different ways by different collaborators, depending on their perspective - here’s a flavour.

The process

We’re running an inclusive and transparent application process to make these opportunities as accessible as possible and ensure a diverse range of people are able to demonstrate their fit for the team. Taking a CV-less approach means we’ll be focussing on the most critical things to compare candidates on and by answering our three questions you can feel confident you’ve highlighted the most relevant experience and skills you have. We've summarised the full process here.

About the roles

As building a diverse team is one of our primary priorities we expect to shape these roles around people. We plan to hire two new team members based on their complementary skill sets and experiences, who will in turn help build our culture and priorities as a team and a wider network. However while these roles have huge potential to morph and change with the needs of our network and the unique strengths and approaches of the new team, there are core aspects for you to consider before you apply:

What you’ll be doing initially (review phase)

This phase will include the following:
